Mandalas 731-749 by Melody Cummons

When giving birth to art, one does not decide
with the mind what one will create, any more
than one could decide all the details of the
human child one might give birth to.
Rather, the artist is, at best, a midwife,
or messenger, bringing the voice of creation
through to assist in the worlds
transformation.
It is a humble station of carrying the
messages of great mystery to the
precious children of Earth, and the
people of Earth are very much beloved
by the universe and all it's varying
life forms throughout the endless
expanses.
You are precious and beloved and cherished
far, far beyond your understanding.
We are held in endless loving arms.
~
When I am creating art,
I always hope to see angels,
but sometimes I see devils instead.
But I have come to realize that it is
far more beneficial to stare into the face
of my demons than to stagnantly linger
in the visions of the angels.
I need to see those devils, to accept them.
And never give my power away to them
ever again.
OM SHANTI,
let there always be Peace.

Mandalas 688-711 by Melody Cummons

Ode to Dirty Snow
~

What is beauty?
There is beauty inherent in all things.
Because all things are divinely created.
Is it possible to refrain from labeling or judgement
in order to see...
to see the divine in everything.
The snow is so beautiful as it falls from the sky,
whirling in the wind like
tiny dervishes.
It is beautiful as it lays and accumulates
upon the ground and trees and
making everything look softer and cleaner.
But eventually, people and cars
stampede through it,
and it begins to get dirty
and imperfect.
It begins to melt and get slushy and muddy.
But this is just the cycle of the life of snow,
just as everything has a cycle and a season,
and every season has it's beauty.
These Mandalas were made from
dirty snow
OM Shanti
